Hamjambo!

I've arrived in Tanzania! Right now I am in Dar Es Salaam, where it still feels pretty hot despite the fact the rains have cooled things down. Tomorrow we head off to 'Riverside Camp' for Language School (if you're looking on a map - this is at Iringa). I'm told it is cool there and beautiful, so I look forward to beginning my Swahili classes.
I'll post a couple of photos of the area to give you a few impressions of the place!

Springtime

I'll miss the beautiful English spring, so here's a few spring flowers to cheer my way, as this time next week I'll be on a plane, about to taxi up the runway to wing my way to Africa!

I have the ticket!

It's all booked - I'll be flying to Tanzania on 30th April, arriving the next day. In the meantime I keep working my way through the bits and bobs that have to be sorted before I can go.

Also managed to get a few days work through a recruitment agency - so I've had the pleasure of travelling through rush hour traffic to sit at a computer all day typing etc. Actually, it's not that bad - helping out with the admin for the Learning Disabilities service at the Rehab Hospital near Warwick. Friendly staff and a break from home and worrying about everything I need to do - what more can I ask for?!
